Job Description
Role Overview:
The Accounting Policy Analyst will join a centralized accounting policy team responsible for monitoring, interpreting, and advising on accounting guidance across the enterprise.
This role is purely accounting policy focused. It is not a transactional accounting position and does not involve routine journal entries, reconciliations, or close execution. Instead, the individual will focus on researching accounting guidance, evaluating complex transactions, and communicating conclusions to finance and business partners.

-Evaluate business and investment transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment
-Assess the accounting impact of complex and non-routine transactions
-Provide clear accounting conclusions and recommendations to finance leadership and business partners
- Month- end close experience
-Support enterprise-wide accounting policy monitoring and documentation
-Partner with financial reporting teams as overflow support during peak reporting cycles
-Contribute to regulatory and financial reporting activities as needed
-Participate in internal collaboration across finance, accounting, and investment teams
-Stay current on accounting developments, industry trends, and evolving guidance
-Support continuous improvement initiatives related to accounting policy processes
-Leverage forward-thinking tools, including exposure to AI and automation where applicable
Day-to-Day Environment
-A significant portion of the role involves reading, researching, and evaluating accounting guidance
-Regular collaboration with financial reporting, finance, and technical accounting teams
-Independent work with limited day-to-day supervision
-Exposure to nuanced accounting topics tied to a large, complex organization with significant assets
-Occasional interaction with broader enterprise stakeholders and virtual networking opportunities
