Bridge Project Inspector

- Inspecting bridge construction activities such as foundations, piles, abutments, piers, deck pours, bearings, expansion joints, and structural steel
- Verifying compliance with ODOT and project specifications
- Observing and documenting materials placement (concrete, rebar, prestressing, coatings, asphalt approaches)
- Coordinating materials testing (concrete sampling, strength tests, weld inspections)
- Reviewing plans and shop drawings to confirm work aligns with design intent
- Tracking quantities and progress for pay estimates and project records
- Documenting daily reports, photos, deficiencies, and corrective actions
- Working closely with contractors, CTL engineers, and ODOT reps to resolve field issues
Monitoring safety and traffic control, flagging non-compliant or unsafe work

- 5-10 years of experience minimum
- ODOT prequalification for a Structures Inspector
- Experience in inspecting bridge construction activities
- Prior ODOT experience
- Any level of experience in bridge engineering, with a focus on ODOT projects.
Strong knowledge of ODOT design standards, specifications, and procedures.

Civil engineering degree or related degree
