Position Overview:
The Senior Cyber Recovery Engineer will provide advanced infrastructure services with a strong focus on systems and storage technologies supporting Penske’s Cyber Vault solution. This role is hands-on and responsible for designing, installing, configuring, integrating, recovering, and automating cyber recovery environments. The ideal candidate will have a cyber resilience mindset, deep expertise in systems and infrastructure, and experience leading technical projects (not people).

Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
o 5–7 years in VMware virtualization (vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, VxRail, RPVM) and Data Domain administration.
o Hands-on experience with Dell technologies (PowerProtect, PowerMax, PowerScale, Data Domain) strongly preferred; similar platforms (e.g., Sams) acceptable.
o 3+ years in networking and SAN storage provisioning/administration.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, PowerCLI (Python, Ansible a plus).
o Strong understanding of backup/recovery and cyber resilience strategies.
• Certifications: CCRP, VMware VCP-DCV, or similar certifications are a plus.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide Infrastructure Services: Implement, support, and maintain enterprise-class open-system technologies, including server virtualization, backup/recovery, and networking.
• Cyber Vault Operations: Monitor, manage, and optimize Dell PowerProtect Cyber Recovery and CyberSense (or equivalent solutions), providing regular reports to stakeholders.
• Project Leadership: Lead technical initiatives for cyber recovery testing and training exercises; collaborate closely with IT and PTL groups on production systems.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts for Cyber Vault management using PowerShell, Bash, PowerCLI, and other scripting languages.
• Documentation: Create and update environment documentation, SOPs, diagrams, and knowledge base as systems evolve.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with IT operations teams to identify and resolve issues and support infrastructure upgrades impacting cyber recovery strategy.
• Mentorship: Train and guide Cyber Recovery Administrators and team members on best practices.
