Job Description
One of our government customers are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to sit onsite at Wright Pat. This person will be embedded within the Air Force Program Office, acting as a manufacturing and production SME. Day to day includes reviewing contractor manufacturing and quality data, assessing production scalability and readiness, and evaluating vendor capabilities across airframes, electronics, and electromechanical systems. They will support technical discussions with primes and suppliers, participate in production reviews and audits, and travel to observe manufacturing and testing at vendor sites. A major part of the role is translating technical production data into clear insights for the government, helping them understand risks, timelines, and what to expect operationally as systems scale.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years in manufacturing / production / industrial engineering
o Experience with production scaling + manufacturing at volume
- Strong background in quality control processes (lot acceptance, config mgmt, corrective actions)
- Experience supporting defense programs, primes, or OEMs + ability to brief/write to gov stakeholders
- Active DoD Secret clearance
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Small UAS (Group 1–3) experience
- Experience with:
- Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL)
- Production risk / industrial base assessments
- Exposure to: Air Force / DoD acquisition environments (AFLCMC, SPOs) DCMA or similar manufacturing oversight orgs
- Knowledge of: Lean / Six Sigma / AS9100
- Experience supporting Production testing, acceptance, or flight readiness
- TS clearance or ability to get SCI/SAP
