We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Site Manager / Project Director to lead site operations and interface management for a major hydropower project. This is a senior-level role that blends site leadership with project performance oversight, client engagement, and back-office coordination.
Unlike traditional North American models, this role follows a more European-style structurebridging the gap between site execution and executive-level reporting. You will be responsible for managing the full scope of site activities while also serving as a key liaison with clients, procurement, and internal leadership.

810+ years of experience in hydropower construction or refurbishment, with a strong background in site management.
Previous experience as a Project Manager or in a similar leadership role.
Deep understanding of project budgeting, cost control, and performance metrics.
Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, including clients and internal leadership.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience working with Francis or Kaplan turbines is a strong asset.
Experience in both North American and European project delivery models.
Familiarity with GE Vernova or similar large-scale energy organizations.
Background in managing modernization or upgrade projects in legacy hydropower facilities.
A track record of successfully navigating high-pressure or turnaround project environments.
Someone with a profile similar to Richard (internal reference).
