Job Description

Insight Global is actively seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our clients team in Jamestown North Dakota. This exciting opportunity involves working on a spillway project with a focus on roller-compacted concrete.

Responsibilities: As a Construction Materials Testing Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of the project. Your responsibilities will include:

* Lab Work: Primarily conducting soil, aggregate, grout, soil cement, RCC, and CIP concrete testing in strict adherence to ACI standards.

* Field Testing: Participating in field testing and sampling activities.

* Dependability: This position demands candidates who are dependable, reliable, and committed to excellence.

Work Schedule:

* Hours: Expect a rigorous work schedule of 60 hours per week, spanning 6 days a week.

Required Skills & Experience

* 1+ years of special inspection and/or construction materials testing experience

* ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1

* Valid driver's license and clean driving record

* Use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* A good work ethic and high level of personal integrity.

* Ability to monitor contractors and report results verbally and in writing.

o Proficiency in preparing clear and accurate detailed reports of testing and inspection activities and maintaining work activity records.

* Attention to detail, quality, and safety.

* Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- The candidate for this project with additional years of experience and certification meeting some or all the following criteria will be considered for higher levels of compensation:

* Radiation safety training for the operation of a nuclear density gauge

* ACI Concrete Strength Testing Certification

* ACI Aggregate Testing Certification

* ACI Aggregate Base Testing Certification

* ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician

* ICC Special Inspector Certifications (Reinforced Concrete, Pre-stressed Concrete, Soil, Spray-applied Fireproofing, Structural Masonry, Structural Welding, Structural Steel and Bolting)
