Insight Global is seeking an HVAC Controls Systems Engineer for a top engineering and facilities client. This individual will play a critical role in the design, configuration, and support of HVAC control systems across active facilities in the state of North Dakota. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with building automation systems, enjoys solving complex system issues, and thrives in a collaborative, onsite engineering environment. This is a contract opportunity offering competitive pay with a clearly defined bill rate cap.
Day to Day:
- Design and support HVAC control system architectures
- Configure and program HVAC control hardware/software
- Troubleshoot system issues and optimize performance
-Partner with engineering, facilities, and operations teams
- Support commissioning, testing, and system documentation
- Ensure systems meet project requirements and standards

Required Skills & Experience
- Experience as an HVAC Controls Systems Engineer
- Strong knowledge of HVAC control systems and building automation
- Ability to design, configure, troubleshoot, and support control systems
- Experience working in an engineering or facilities environment
- Comfortable working onsite and collaborating with cross‑functional teams
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with BAS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Schneider)
- Field commissioning or startup experience
- Familiarity with energy management systems
- Background supporting commercial or industrial facilities
- Experience working on multi‑site or enterprise‑level projects
