Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Technician to support the safe, reliable operation of natural gas processing and pipeline facilities. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting instrumentation, electrical, and control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA, SIS), while also serving as a technical leader in the field.

This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced industrial environment with strong growth potential and a $1,500/month geographic allowance.

Required Skills & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Hands-on experience in instrumentation, electrical, and control systems in an industrial environment (oil & gas, energy, or similar)
• Experience working with:
○ PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems
○ Instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level, etc.)
○ Electrical systems (low to medium voltage)
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of safety practices and working in hazardous environments (flammable gases, high pressure systems)
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in an on-call schedule
Valid driver’s license

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Electrical apprenticeship, license, or Associate’s degree in Instrumentation/Electrical Technology
• Experience in natural gas processing or midstream operations
• Background with:
○ OT networks and industrial communications (Modbus, RTU, fiber, Ethernet)
○ Gas analyzers and flow measurement systems
○ Safety systems (SIS/ESD)
• Knowledge of government regulations and electrical codes
• Experience supporting reliability-based maintenance programs
Prior experience mentoring or leading junior technicians
