Job Description

We are seeking skilled Infusion Nurses (RNs) to join our team at Novant Health Cancer Institute. This role involves managing a team of 4 infusion bays per nurse and administering a variety of treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and non-chemo infusions such as iron, IV fluids, and antibiotics.

Administer Infusions: Deliver chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive infusions with precision and care.
Patient Volume: Handle 80120 infusions per day, with peak activity between 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM.
Work Independently: Nurses must be confident in their clinical judgment and able to work autonomously.
Collaborate with the Care Team: Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Required Skills & Experience

RN License: A current and valid Registered Nurse license is required.
IV Administration Skills: Strong IV skills are essential for administering a wide range of infusions.
EMR Experience: Experience with any Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is required.
Experience Requirements:
Oncology experience preferred
If no oncology experience, a minimum of 2+ years in a critical care setting is required
Critical Thinking & Multitasking: Ability to manage a high volume of infusions and make sound clinical decisions under pressure.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Epic EMR Experience: Familiarity with Epic is a strong plus.
Bilingual: Bilingual candidates are preferred.
Protacath Access Skills: Experience accessing ports and managing infusion devices is beneficial.
