Job Description
Day to day:
Insight Global is looking for an Electrical Engineer to help support their greenfield facility build out in the Raleigh-Durham area. This is a high impact engineering role at a new state of the art manufacturing site. This facility is in late-stage expansion moving from construction into commissioning, qualification and start up. In this role you will be a true owner of electrical systems, helping drive them from construction completion into operational readiness. You’ll have direct visibility to switchgear and power distribution systems coming online, final construction turnover and system signoffs, and transitioning into GMP ops.
Core Responsibilities
1. Construction to Turnover Bridge
• Act as the owner’s rep for electrical systems, ensuring construction deliverables meet design intent
• Lead/participate in system handoffs from construction to CQV
• Drive closure of punch list and turnover deficiencies
2. Electrical Systems Oversight
• Focus on medium/low voltage systems, including:
o Switchgear
o Transformers
o Power distribution panels
• Ensure systems are installed, tested, and documented properly for startup readiness
3. Documentation & GMP Compliance
• Review and approve:
o Turnover packages
o Test documentation
o Change controls (as needed)
• Ensure compliance with GMP standards, especially as systems transition to validated state
4. CQV & Startup Support
• Partner closely with CQV to:
o Support commissioning activities
o Assist with IQ/OQ readiness
• Help ensure electrical systems are ready to support validated manufacturing operations
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
• Serve as the electrical SME across:
o Construction
o Validation
o Facilities
o Operations
• Bridge communication gaps between engineering design, field execution, and end users
6. Gap Assessment + Problem Solving
• Identify gaps in:
o Electrical scope (switchgear, distribution)
o Documentation and procedures
• Proactively recommend fixes and help drive execution to close gaps

Required Skills & Experience
Must haves:
- 5+ years of hands on, field based electrical engineering experience specifically with switchgear and electrical distribution
- GMP experience required (pharma manufacturing)
- Exposure to both GMP and non-GMP environments
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Pluses:
- Prior green or brownfield experience
- Strong mechanical background - experience with water systems, distribution, steam, compressed air etc.
