Job Description
- Partner with OEMs during procurement, FATs, and pre-installation planning to ensure equipment readiness and installation requirements are defined.
- Develop installation plans, utility layouts, rigging strategies, and sequencing schedules with engineering and facilities teams.
- Lead contractor selection, scope definition, contract coordination, and performance management across mechanical, electrical, piping, and rigging trades.
- Manage daily installation activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence across multiple contractors and OEM field teams.
- Oversee equipment move-in, rigging, precision alignment, and mechanical/electrical/piping connections.
- Verify facility and utility readiness prior to tool installation and resolve site issues with engineering and construction teams.
- Track installation progress, identify risks, and drive solutions to keep multi-phase facility expansion projects on schedule.
- Own contractor EHS compliance, including LOTO, PPE, and safe work practices.
- Manage punch lists, documentation, and issue resolution through commissioning readiness.
- Support Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and coordinate successful handoff of equipment to production operations.

Own the end-to-end installation and startup of manufacturing equipment, leading OEMs, contractors, safety, scheduling, commissioning, and operational handoff across a multi-phase facility buildout.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of industrial equipment installation experience within a capital project, manufacturing environment, or with a start-up manufacturing company
- Demonstrated experience managing installation contractors across mechanical, electrical, and/or piping scopes — including contractor qualification, scope definition, and performance oversight.
- Direct involvement in site acceptance testing (SAT) or commissioning of complex industrial or process equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, electrical schematics, and utility layout documents.
-Proven ability to coordinate across OEM vendors, general contractors, and internal engineering teams in a fast-paced project environment.
- Strong working knowledge of site EHS requirements including Lock Out and Tag Out (LOTO), and contractor safety management.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or process engineering
- PMP certification
- OSHA 30 certification
- Rigger certification
- Familiarity with factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT) and OEM engagement during equipment procurement.
