Job Description

Vanir Installed Sales is seeking an experienced and results-driven Commercial Construction Estimator / Commercial Account Manager to serve as the critical link between our customers, estimating team, and field operations. This is a senior-level role that combines preconstruction expertise, commercial account management, and strategic sales execution to drive accurate, profitable bidding and long-term customer retention in the commercial exterior cladding and siding market.
This position is responsible for overseeing approximately 180–200 commercial bids annually, with individual project values ranging from $100,000 to $4,000,000. The successful candidate will manage the full bid lifecycle from intake through proposal submission, ensuring every bid is accurate, complete, and aligned with company profitability targets.
The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of commercial construction processes, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to manage complex customer relationships while ensuring every proposal that leaves our office is accurate, competitive, and profitable.

Required Skills & Experience

Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating, preconstruction, project coordination, or a closely related role.
• Demonstrated understanding of commercial construction processes and siding materials (fiber cement, vinyl, metal, composite), and installation practices.
• Proven ability to read, interpret, and analyze commercial construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in cost analysis, margin management, and ensuring proposal profitability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active bids and accounts simultaneously under deadline pressure.
Proficiency with CRM systems, estimating software, Dropbox or cloud-based file management, and standard business applications (Microsoft Office Suite).

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
• Experience in exterior cladding, siding, or specialty trade contracting within the commercial construction market.
• Knowledge of building material supply chains, vendor management, and procurement strategies.
• Familiarity with commercial construction practices and market conditions in the Southeast United States, particularly North and South Carolina.
Experience with construction estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or On-Screen Takeoff.
