Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer or Practice Area Leader to join our Power & Energy team. This role requires expertise in smart grids, sustainable design, photovoltaic (PV) systems, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). The ideal candidate will work independently with energy sector leaders to deliver high-quality designs, price jobs, and ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities include producing electrical designs using Revit and AutoCAD, collaborating with Brian and Steve in the energy group, developing and pricing proposals, and overseeing project delivery. The role is hands-on and supported by drafters and design staff. The candidate will participate in project meetings and contribute to a collaborative and technically driven environment.

Required Skills & Experience

Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred; equivalent experience considered
9+ years of professional experience in the Power & Energy sector
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
Experience with smart grids, PV systems, BESS, and sustainable design
Ability to work independently and travel regionally as needed

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Active membership in IEEE, IES, or other related professional organizations.
Ability to make presentations to a variety of groups.
