Job Description

A growing private aviation company in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Business Data Analyst to join their FP&A team.

This role blends foundational FP&A responsibilities with broader analytical work focused on helping leadership make better strategic and operational decisions. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, comfortable working in ambiguity, and capable of structuring complex business problems into clear, actionable analysis. The role will leverage modern analytics and AI‑enabled tools to accelerate insight generation, but success depends far more on how someone thinks than on mastery of any single tool or technology.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support core FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Partner with leadership to analyze complex business questions and evaluate trade‑offs
- Build structured analytical frameworks and repeatable “data products” that support decision‑making
- Gather and synthesize data from multiple sources to inform recommendations
- Leverage AI‑enabled tools to accelerate analysis and improve efficiency
- Translate analysis into clear insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Work cross‑functionally across multiple areas of the business

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. - Ability to work in ambiguous environments and frame unclear problems
- Comfortable making and defending recommendations to leadership
- Strong communication skills, especially when explaining complex analysis

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Hands‑on experience using AI tools / LLMs beyond basic prompting (e.g., using AI to speed up analysis workflows, build outputs, or prototype solutions).
- Working knowledge of SQL (any flavor) or experience writing/understanding queries to pull data independently
- Exposure to Python, Power BI, or analytics tooling
