Job Description
One of Insight Global's clients is looking to hire an AV Programmer to support a shared service for a growing technology infrastructure company.
The AV Programmer is responsible for designing, programming, and maintaining audio-visual systems to meet the needs of clients. This role involves collaborating with clients, project managers, and other team members to ensure the successful implementation of AV solutions.
They will be implementing control system programming for AV systems using programming languages such as Creston or Extron and writing code to seamlessly integrate various AV components (displays, projectors, audio systems, etc.). They will also have to troubleshoot and test these systems to ensure functionality prior to client use. The programmer will create documentation in the form of end user guides, system designs and provide trainings on the AV systems.
This will be a fully remote position, open to candidates working from home anywhere across the US but preferably close to the company's office locations listed below. There will be occasional travel expected to client sites - although a lot of the programming is done remotely, there are larger systems that require this individual to travel onsite. Travel would be fully paid for by the company. Core hours are 8AM - 5PM, Monday - Friday.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Audio Engineering) or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in AV system programming, with proficiency in programming languages such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, or others.
• Strong understanding of audio-visual technologies, including displays, projectors, audio systems, video conferencing, and control interfaces.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols related to AV systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Industry certifications in AV programming (e.g., Crestron Certified Programmer, Extron Certified Control Professional).
• Experience with video conferencing systems (e.g., Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms).
• Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI-driven AV solutions.
