Job Description
We are seeking a driven Mechanical Engineer with strong initiative and hands-on design experience to support a growing team focused on packaging and material handling solutions. This role will involve designing layouts and components for rubber packaging processes, including bobbins and pallet systems, while working closely with cross-functional teams in both the U.S. and Mexico.
- Develop mechanical designs and layout drawings using SolidWorks
- Create detailed drawings for welded components and assemblies
- Support design and development of packaging systems (rubber on bobbins and pallets)
- Collaborate with procurement and purchasing teams to align design specifications with sourcing
- Assist with project management activities, including budgeting and timeline tracking

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (required)
- Experience with mechanical layout drawings and detailing
- Exposure to project management and budgeting
- Working knowledge of weld design and fabrication drawings
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) – required for collaboration with Mexico-based teams
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting manufacturing or packaging processes
- Prior exposure to cross-border procurement or supply chain collaboration
- Background in industrial equipment design or material handling systems
