Job Description
An employer is seeking a Business Analyst for a large retail client sitting in Randleman, NC. The Business Analyst serves as a key interface between the business groups teams and IT. A key component is responding to inquiries from the Distribution Center (DC) systems users on functional and technical features. In addition, the position is responsible for gathering user requirements, creating functional requirements, assisting in the development process, ensuring the system meets the functional and user interface specifications, and guiding the business through use of the application. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), experience supporting enterprise applications, and a passion for troubleshooting operational issues. Unlike a traditional Business Analyst role focused heavily on requirements gathering, this position emphasizes testing, deployment support, user acceptance testing (UAT), production support, and system optimization.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Business, Economics, Finance or Computer Science, or an equivalent diploma
• 3-5 years’ experience in the IT field or equivalent work experience – preferably in Supply Chain
• Experience supporting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, order fulfillment, allocation, and picking processes.
• Experience participating in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience executing QA, UAT, regression, or system testing activities.
• Ability to understand and apply instructions or suggest alternate proven methods to move projects forward
• Ability to follow established practices, policies, and procedures
• Very strong understanding of productivity suite software (i.e., Microsoft Office)
• Ability to take an abstract analytical problem and break it down into actionable tasks
