Job Description
One of Insight Globals EPC partners is looking for a drafter who comes from an Engineering company to sit onsite at their client in Kings Mountain, NC. Their client is a global specialty chemicals company, best known as one of the world’s leading producers of lithium, which is essential for EV batteries, energy storage, electronics, and more. Our client currently has a team onsite with their client and this person will be brought in to supplement that team and will be imbedded within that team. Most drafting will be P&ID drafting, with potential for some electrical drafting. The document management system they use is Adept, so they need to be familiar with EDMS and able to develop proficiency. The type of individual they are looking for is someone who has the core skills and is trainable, as they do intend for this position to convert permanent.
• Work onsite at the Albemarle lithium plant as part of a Brown & Root embedded engineering team, supporting ongoing facility design and improvement projects
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and plant stakeholders to ensure designs align with existing systems, site standards, and operational needs
• Perform field walkdowns as needed to validate existing conditions and ensure accuracy of design packages
• Support the preparation of design deliverables, documentation, and material takeoffs for construction and inspection teams
• Assist in coordinating with inspection and maintenance groups by compiling drawings, reports, and supporting materials required for project execution
• Utilize the plant’s document management system (e.g., Adept or similar EDMS) to organize, update, and maintain design records
• Provide general project support, including administrative and coordination tasks, to help ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule

Required Skills & Experience
• 5 years of experience as a drafter with P&ID’s
• Associates degree
• Must have experience working in Engineering Company
• EDMS proficiency
