Our client in the education industry is looking for a network engineer to join their team to support their schools in North Carolina, Louisiana, and South Carolina. This individual will be assisting with the roll out of schools, including new schools and expansions. One will be working alongside a Sr engineer and vendors to assist with revamping the data rooms, installing switches, cabling, testing, and other tasks associated with new school preparation. An ideal candidate will look for ways to improve and promote quality, demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. In addition, one should strives to research, evaluate, and implement best practices. This role will require traveling to school sites.

- Experience configuring and designing wireless network
- Experience with Ekahau or similar wireless surveying tool
- Knowledge of Extreme (now Aerohive)
- Strong route and switch experience
- 3-5 years of experience with networking
- Solid knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations
- Strong knowledge of firewalls and other network security devices (VPN, IPS, Vulnerability Scanners, etc.).
- Knowledge of enterprise telephony
- Able to work nights and weekends if required.
- Ability to travel to school sites
- Local to Charlotte, NC but comfortable traveling up to 40% of the time
--Any applicable certifications (or in process of obtaining) (CCNA, CCNP, etc)
