The Senior Project Controls Specialist is responsible for executing complex aspects of project estimating, scheduling, change documentation, and cost control. This role supports reporting at the program or portfolio level with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate demonstrates advanced project controls expertise, works independently on most tasks, and seeks guidance only for unusual or complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced project controls functions including estimating, scheduling, cost control, and change management.
Report project performance and forecasts to program or portfolio leadership.
Identify project issues, develop actionable solutions, and implement resolutions.
Apply project controls principles and procedures with full competency.
Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers/vendors to ensure project alignment and success.
Utilize project management software and tools to support project execution and reporting

Bachelors degree in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical field, or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of project controls experience, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Proficient in project controls principles and practices.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in project management and controls software.
Masters degree in business, finance, project management, or related field.
Professional certifications such as PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, or AACE-EVP.
Experience with tools such as MS Project, Primavera, MS Office Suite, Business Objects, Prolog, Passport, Visio, Powerplant, Emax, and PeopleSoft.
Familiarity with risk management tools and Monte Carlo analysis.
