Wireless Network Engineer IV

Job Description:



The Network Engineer IV position designs, installs, maintains, and evaluates network systems and communications. Troubleshoots the most complex network issues involving various factors in a full Cisco environment
Leads network architecture design conversations, feasibility and cost studies. Must have extensive knowledge of internet, routers, switches, firewalls, etc. and advise/instruct other team members.
Leads large scale network projects and assist lower-level engineers.
Considered a specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent.
May assume a team lead role for the workgroup and fill in for the manager. Lead root-cause analysis or production of After Action Review (AAR) of IS issues as needed.
Develop plans to perform maintenance activities, including IOS updates & security patching.
Recognize and be a leader in all aspects of security for our network. Work with Security Operations to insure we protect our data and are compliant.
Participate in on-call support as needed by the business, to 24x7 critical infrastructure operations.

Must Haves:

Need to have in depth Cisco WIRELESS experience
Need to have worked with 3807 and 9166 access points
Need to have done an SID consolidation
Need to have experience with road mapping (someone who is vocal on industry best practices and can write standards and assessments)
At least 5+ years of experience providing enterprise-managed network services (i.e. Router, Switch, BGP, QoS, VoIP). Cloud experience required. In-depth knowledge of datacenter technologies, such as OTV and VXLAN.
CCNP certification
High school diploma (or equivalent) or higher is required.

Background in routing/switching
Healthcare experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or engineering or its equivalent is preferred.
