Job Description

Develop optimal production and/or delivery schedules for the plant, field, and delivery haulers, factoring in customer demand, plant capacity and efficiencies, material availability, delivery costs, geographic routing, hauling restrictions, and any other relevant factors.

Manage and respond to requests from multiple sources for production and/or delivery schedule changes or material corrections. Evaluate the effects of the change and communicate to all affected parties when changes are approved.

Communicate and coordinate with third-party haulers and the plant as the primary point of contact for Scheduling and/or Logistics questions.

Utilize our client's scheduling and logistics software to input and extract data related to customer schedule requests, extra material, billing for packages, and other scheduling or delivery information.

Coordinate and ensure all necessary stakeholders receive communication related to production schedules, box truck deliveries, delivery schedules and times, permit and escort requirements, and unique situations such as prototypes, long lead-time materials, special delivery instructions, shared packages between plants, etc.

Collaborate with cross functional plant teams, such as production, customer support center, materials, quality, accounting, etc., to meet operational plans.

Create, maintain, and analyze reports to measure service levels, freight costs and production efficiencies.

Evaluate and manage the availability of delivery resources to meet customer demand and maximize efficiencies and cost.

Execute weekly/daily processing of miscellaneous tickets, returns, extra material, package billing, delivery invoicing, and others as assigned.

Review third-party hauler invoicing, prior to payment.

Support the processing of Employee Sales as needed.
