Job Description

We are seeking a AV Design Engineer 3 to join our clients Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities:
You will be working with a dynamic team of system engineers responsible for design decisions in all areas of A/V Systems and the technical direction of multiple projects across multiple programs for operations. Responsibilities include designing the systems hardware and software framework for large complex resilient systems and formulating high-level architectural solutions to ensure implemented solutions meet stakeholder needs, standards, and performance requirements. Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:
• Creating Drawing Packages and Bill of Materials in CAD.
• Design and testing of complex videoconferencing and integrated audio/visual technologies (videoconferencing, control systems, displays, video walls and matrix systems, audio reinforcement systems, cameras, microphones, document cameras, streaming technologies, etc.) and A/V based collaboration technologies
• Design of audio/video systems with Crestron, AMX and Extron control systems
• Conduct customer site surveys and provide sales engineering support, including collecting and recording detailed operational, functional and technical requirements, developing project scopes, and providing overall system costing for A/V projects

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in technical engineering field AND 5 years of experience
Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
Design of AV systems with Crestron
Familiarity with IT, telecommunications, A/V and electrical equipment including related materials and specifications
AutoCAD experience
