Our client is seeking an environmental, health, safety and sustainability (EHSS) Specialist to facilitate the demolition of equipment, tools and facility systems related to a plant closure. The EHSS Specialist is directly responsible for activities related to ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. This position works closely with internal business partners to find effective, efficient solutions to environmental, health, safety and sustainability program implementation.

Required Skills & Experience
Minimum requirements:
• 3+ years of experience as EHS engineer or specialist
• Broad familiarity with hazards associated with deconstruction and demolition of hazardous machinery, labs, or other industrial facilities.
• Experience delivering safety trainings and tool-box talks.
• Ability to effectively interpret federal and state regulations, including OSHA regulations for General Industry and/or Construction, as well as Process Safety Management, Fall Protection, and Hot Work.
• Familiarity with EPA regulations as they relate to wastewater, hazardous waste, and air permits.

• HAZWOPER Certified
• Semiconductor manufacturing
• NFPA 70E familiarity
