Job Description
Lead and manage the onsite materials team, including buyers and supply chain professionals
Oversee material movement, inventory accuracy, and cycle counting processes
Direct management of 3 onsite buyers and 1 supply chain specialist
Partner closely with Operations through a dotted-line reporting structure
Ensure hourly material handlers and cycle counters align with materials and operations objectives
Manage supplier relationships and localized purchasing activities
Lead and support full inventory counts and continuous inventory improvement initiatives
Monitor direct, indirect, and spare parts inventory to support production needs
Drive process adherence, consistency, and operational efficiency across the facility

Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of Materials Management experience in manufacturing or logistics
- Proven experience managing material movement and inventory in a manufacturing facility
- Professional-level supervisory experience leading buyers and supply chain professionals
- Experience working within a centralized materials function with localized vendor buying
- Strong comfort engaging with hourly material handlers and cycle counters
- Experience overseeing cycle counting programs and full physical inventory reviews with successful outcomes
- Hands-on experience with direct and indirect materials, including spare parts across multiple commodities
- Solid understanding of end-to-end materials and inventory processes
- Bachelor’s degree required
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, etc.)
SAP experience
