Job Description
We’re looking for a Virtual Solutions Engineer who specializes in Omnissa Horizon (formerly VMware Horizon) to help design, automate, and support virtual desktop environments. This role focuses on creating smart solutions, building automation, and working closely with developers and engineers to ensure virtual systems run smoothly and securely.
You will:
Automate tasks and workflows using PowerShell, REST, and SOAP APIs to support virtual desktops.
Test system updates to make sure they don’t break existing automations or user experiences.
Design and maintain scripts that manage users, machines, and settings across platforms like Active Directory, Citrix, and Omnissa Horizon.
Help deliver applications using AppVolumes, including version control and policy compliance.
Act as the go-to expert for virtual desktop solutions and integrations with Citrix and Horizon.
Share knowledge and best practices with the engineering team.
Translate business needs into technical solutions for virtual infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in complex virtual environments.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
8+ years working in virtualization and end-user computing (EUC), with at least 5 years in large enterprise environments.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Omnissa Horizon.
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, including experience with SOAP/REST APIs.
Experience with AppVolumes, DEM, and Citrix policy engines.
Familiarity with Unified Access Gateway (UAG) and F5 Gateway/APM configuration.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in complex systems.
Experience using PowerCLI to manage virtual machines and infrastructure.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Certifications in VMware, Citrix, or related technologies.
Experience designing scalable, high-availability virtual environments.
A proactive mindset and passion for automation and optimization.
