Job Description

Our client is seeking a Trader Voice Engineer to support and enhance their enterprise Trader Voice environment supporting highly regulated financial trading communications. This individual will be responsible for the engineering, administration, maintenance, and lifecycle management of IPC trading turret platforms and associated voice infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting SIP-based voice technologies, voice recording integrations, trading communications systems, and enterprise voice infrastructure. While the role includes exposure to compliance and governance requirements within regulated financial environments, the primary focus is engineering support, platform stability, modernization initiatives, and operational excellence.
This position will work closely with Infrastructure, Security, Compliance, Architecture, Operations, and vendor teams to ensure trading communications systems remain secure, available, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide engineering support for IPC Unigy, Connexus, Touch, OneView, and related Trader Voice technologies.
• Support SIP-based voice communications, trader turret infrastructure, Session Border Controllers (SBCs), and voice recording integrations.
• Perform platform administration, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities.
• Support operating system patching, security updates, vulnerability remediation, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Participate in system migrations, modernization efforts, and infrastructure transformation projects.
• Troubleshoot platform incidents and support root cause analysis for complex voice-related issues.
• Execute testing, validation, and implementation activities for platform changes and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, implementation plans, and rollback strategies.
• Support highly available voice environments and ensure platform resiliency and performance.
• Collaborate with networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity, operations, and vendor teams to resolve technical issues and improve platform stability.
• Support change management processes, production implementations, and operational readiness activities.
• Assist with regulatory and compliance requirements related to trader voice communications and voice recording platforms.
• Maintain documentation supporting audits, governance reviews, and compliance initiatives.
• Coordinate with managed service providers and vendor partners to ensure service delivery expectations are met.
• Support strategic initiatives focused on automation, security improvements, platform optimization, and risk reduction.

Additional Information:
This role is offering 45-47/hr. This is a 6 month contract with extensions up to 3 years.

• Hybrid schedule available for candidates located near Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; or Jersey City, NJ (3 days onsite per week).
• Remote candidates must be available during standard 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST business hours.
• Occasional evening and weekend support required for platform upgrades, maintenance windows, production implementations, migrations, and critical incident response.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2-5 years of experience supporting enterprise voice, unified communications, telecommunications, within Trader Voice environments.
• Experience supporting SIP-based voice technologies and communications infrastructure.
• Understanding of voice networking fundamentals including SIP, RTP/RTCP, call flows, and VoIP technologies.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting complex voice or telecommunications environments.
• Familiarity with voice recording platforms, regulated communications environments, or compliance-driven systems.
• Experience with Windows Server administration, operating system patching, and infrastructure support.
• Experience creating or maintaining technical documentation and support procedures.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with IPC Unigy, Connexus, Touch, OneView, or other trader turret platforms.
• Experience supporting financial services or regulated voice communications environments.
• Knowledge of Session Border Controllers (SBCs).
• Experience supporting NICE, Verint, ASC, Red Box, or other voice recording solutions.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Voice, Cisco UC, Avaya, or enterprise telephony platforms.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements related to trading communications and voice retention.
• Experience working with ServiceNow, Jira, Splunk, or monitoring tools.
• Exposure to cybersecurity remediation, vulnerability management, and compliance initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
