The Global Telecom Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing WPOs telecommunications infrastructure and strategies, including managing voice networks, optimizing performance, troubleshooting issues, and leading projects. Key responsibilities include vendor and budget management, strategic planning, ensuring compliance and security, and providing communication and training. Essential skills required are technical expertise, project management, leadership, communication, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and cross-cultural communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management: Overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide telecommunications networks, including hardware, software, and cloud services.
Network Optimization: Work with the Network Engineering team to ensure network performance, reliability, and scalability through evaluation, design, and implementation of improvements.
Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnosing and resolving network hardware, software, and telephony problems, and providing support to users across different locations.
Project Management: Managing telecommunications projects from initial planning to final implementation, including scheduling, risk analysis, budget control, and reporting.
Vendor Management: Working with contractors and vendors to oversee the installation of new systems, ensure quality of service, and manage related contracts.
Budget Management: Developing and managing budgets for telecommunications projects and services.
Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategic plans for telecommunications infrastructure and services aligned with organizational goals.
Compliance and Security: Ensuring network security, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Communication and Training: Communicating effectively with team members, stakeholders, and users about telecommunications systems and providing training on new technologies.
Staying Current: Keeping up-to-date with the latest telecommunications technologies and trends to ensure the organization's infrastructure remains competitive and efficient. Have an understanding of AI and how it is impacting the Communications world.
