Job Description
An employer in the Charlotte, North Carolina area is looking for a technical project assistant to immediately join their team. This individual will be joining a team of project managers, and system administrators helping with a large technical software implementation. This individual will be primarily helping with the teams time management, meeting coordination, documenting, and managing requirements, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and project goals are met. This effort results from a recent implementation of a cloud based system that has consolidated functions to include: vendor management, finance management, case management, etc.
The ideal individual should have a technical background but will not be hands on technical, should have success working in an Agile environment, and display proven abilities to coordinate between enterprise level teams within an organization, with executives, and subject matter experts in their respective areas. Their responsibilities will include but not limited to –
• Identify potential project risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Interpret data and provide analysis results to derive actionable insights.
• Assist in developing detailed functional specifications, including function models.
• Prepare report and screen layouts.
• Present recommendations and solution designs.
• Provide leadership in planning and designing system integration and regression testing.
• Participate in resolving functional issues in the post-production environment during the cutover period.
• Support senior stakeholders in preparing user guides and delivering user training.

Required Skills & Experience
- Degree in IT or 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience coordinating meetings, transcribing meeting notes, managing calendars, scheduling follow up meetings, maintaining project deadlines
- Previous experience creating business requirement documents (including costs, objectives, milestones, timelines)
- Highly skilled in Excel
- Experience utilizing - UML skills / Modeling skills (tools: Lucidchart, Microsoft Visio, Enterprise Architect, Visual Paradigm, StarUML)
o Example - Model work flows – Direct supervisor will create the model, doing 1 appliction and then set them loose to finish the remaining work
Use Case Diagram – Shows how users (actors) interact with a system.
Class Diagram – Describes the structure of a system by showing classes, attributes, and relationships.
Sequence Diagram – Illustrates how objects interact in a particular sequence.
Activity Diagram – Represents workflows or business processes.
State Diagram – Shows how an object changes states in response to events.
Component Diagram – Depicts how software components are organized and interact.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Knowledge of Agile methodology
• Understanding of database languages such as:
• Oracle PL/SQL
• MySQL
• Knowledge of management tools such as:
• JIRA
• Confluence
• Technical background
• Previous experience requirements gathering as a PM / Project Coordinator
