Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Windows Engineering Specialist to join our advanced engineering team. This role goes beyond traditional Tier 3 support, focusing on deep diagnostics and hands-on remediation of complex Windows endpoint issues. The ideal candidate is a technical expert who can independently investigate, resolve, and prevent system failures across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead resolution efforts for Windows crashes, performance issues, and device-level failures.
• Perform in-depth analysis of Windows ETL trace logs, crash dumps, and system diagnostics.
• Act as the final escalation point for unresolved issues from Tier 3 support.
• Fix broken or malfunctioning machines — not just diagnose, but implement solutions.
• Mine system data to identify patterns, root causes, and opportunities for remediation.
• Develop and apply fixes, patches, and configuration changes to restore system health.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, support, and engineering teams to drive long-term solutions.
• Document technical findings, resolutions, and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
• Maintain strong follow-up practices to ensure issues are fully resolved and verified.

Required Skills & Experience

• Expert-level experience in Windows OS internals, diagnostics, and hands-on remediation.
• Strong ability to read and interpret ETL trace logs, crash dumps, and performance data.
• Proven track record of fixing complex endpoint issues in enterprise environments.
• Excellent communication and follow-through skills to ensure resolution and accountability.
• Experience with data mining and analysis to support proactive remediation.
• Ability to work independently and drive investigations to completion.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSE, Windows Client/Server, MD-102).
• Experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune).
• Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell) for automation and diagnostics.
• Background in performance engineering, reliability engineering, or endpoint hardening.
