Day to Day:
• Design and implement Python solutions within Quartz for XVA risk and p&l reporting needs
• Deliver features iteratively following Agile methodologies (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retros)
• Translate user requirements from Trading, Quant, Finance, and Risk into production-quality code
• Build and maintain RADAR (enterprise XVA data reporting application) components and workflows
• Write unit/integration tests; assist with UAT and coordinate production deployments
• Provide 3rd-line production support, including root cause analysis and remediation
• Collaborate closely with New York and London stakeholders; manage cross-time-zone communication
• Partner with BAs/PMs to refine requirements, scope deliveries, and manage release plans
• Contribute to continuous improvement (code quality, observability, performance, and dev tooling)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Python developer with deep expertise in enterprise‑scale systems, ideally within Quartz or similar platforms, and over ten years of development experience in a financial services environment supporting front‑to‑back risk and trading systems. The ideal candidate brings strong Oracle database development skills, including PL/SQL, indexing strategies, and performance tuning for large datasets. In this role, you will design and implement Python solutions within Quartz to support XVA risk and P&L reporting, building and maintaining components of RADAR, the firm’s enterprise XVA data reporting application. You will deliver features iteratively using Agile methodologies, translating complex requirements from Trading, Quant, Finance, and Risk stakeholders into high‑quality, production‑ready code. Responsibilities include writing robust unit and integration tests, supporting UAT, coordinating production deployments, and providing third‑line production support with a strong focus on root cause analysis and remediation. Success in this role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong investigative and problem‑solving mindset, and a collaborative, team‑oriented approach with a high sense of ownership. You will work closely with stakeholders in New York and London, managing cross‑time‑zone communication, partnering with business analysts and project managers to refine requirements, scope deliveries, and manage release plans, while continuously contributing to improvements in code quality, observability, performance, and development tooling.
