Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Full Stack Repave Platform Engineer for a top financial services client. This role focuses on building and modernizing enterprise applications through scalable, API-driven backend services and responsive, user-focused web interfaces. The ideal candidate brings strong .NET expertise, deep experience with distributed systems, and a passion for engineering quality and automation. This engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performing solutions while influencing architecture, design standards, and modernization efforts across critical platforms.
Day-to-Day
• Design, develop, and maintain API-driven backend services using .NET technologies
• Build responsive, user-centric web interfaces using modern front-end frameworks
• Translate business and platform requirements into clear technical designs and deliverables
• Modernize and enhance distributed systems with a focus on reliability and performance
• Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, operations, and security teams
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure quality and scalability
• Optimize database interactions, performance, and data integrity
• Participate in architecture discussions and uphold engineering best practices
• Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and continuous improvement effort

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of overall IT and software engineering experience
• 4+ years designing and building API-driven services (RESTful APIs, microservices)
• Strong .NET Framework 4+ and/or .NET Core development experience
• Proven expertise in distributed system design (scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance)
• Hands-on experience building backend services integrated with enterprise platforms
• Strong database experience including schema design, indexing, query optimization, and transactions
• Experience with enterprise databases such as MSSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
• Proficient in HTML, CSS (HTML5/CSS3), and JavaScript
• Experience with a modern front-end framework (React preferred)
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design (authentication, error handling, versioning)
• Hands-on experience with automated testing (unit, functional, regression, UAT)
• Proficiency with Git and modern source-control workflows
• Commitment to clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with Python for automation or testing support
• Familiarity with automated testing tools such as TOSCA
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and platform-based deployments
• Knowledge of ITSM and ITIL processes and tooling
• Experience with enterprise automation and orchestration tools (e.g., BMC TrueSight Orchestrator)
• Familiarity with JIRA and agile delivery environments
