Job Description
This QA Analyst role supports end to end and integration testing for Business Support Systems (BSS). The person will design and execute test plans, write and automate test cases, execute tests, and manage defects for moderate to high complexity applications. They’ll work across multiple systems, partner cross functionally (including offshore teams), and act as the SME for at least one system in the portfolio.
Day-to-Day:
Facilitate daily stand-up meetings with offshore for work coordination, and weekly project meetings for status
Create or review test plans for assigned project modules
Analyze project requirements to create test scenarios and write test cases
Test cases should be uploaded and executed in ALM Octane with traceability established
Troubleshoot/triage issues during test execution to narrow down the root cause for defect creation
Publish test execution report capturing the test metrics and defects during testing window

Required Skills & Experience
QA / Testing:
Strong understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC
Experience writing test plans, test cases, and scripts
Defect management & triage experience
Integration and end to end testing experience
Tools & Technical:
Octane (preferred) or similar test management tools
Test automation exposure (not necessarily advanced)
Understanding of database schemas & SQL querying
Familiarity with multiple development environments
