Job Description

Insight Global is hiring for a Principal Data Architect that will serve as the technical authority for a large telecommunications database marketing architecture, partnering closely with developers to design, troubleshoot, and optimize complex data integration and ETL pipelines. The role is highly hands‑on, requiring deep expertise in SQL, Python, shell scripting, and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Redshift. This individual will proactively identify architectural improvements, remove development roadblocks, and play a key role in the team’s migration toward automated deployments and Airflow‑based scheduling, while supporting both on‑prem and cloud environments. This is a 6 month ongoing contract and pays $68-$73hr.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–10+ years of experience as a lead data engineer/architect
• Expert level ETL experience for
• Expert level SQL (including DDL execution)
• Ability to be a problem-solver for developers when data pipelines break or don’t scale
○ Design and recommend solutions for how marketing data is sourced and integrated
• Own data integration patterns
• Python + Shell scripting + Redshift experience
• Experience with airflow scheduler tool
• Strong data integration background: experience with automated deployment using GitLab CI/CD platforms
Cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Airflow migration experience
• Automated deployments
• Hybrid on‑prem + cloud environments
• Admin/server experience
• Marketing or customer data exposure (especially database marketing)
• Unica experience
