Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Transformer Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive knowledge and experience in power transformers and associated electrical power components. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in transformer design, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Additionally, strong administrative, analytical, and software skills are required to support transformer asset management, system planning, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide technical expertise on power transformers, including design, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Support assessment and analysis of transformer assets to ensure reliability and performance.
- Assist in planning and executing transformer upgrades, repairs, and replacements.
- Develop and review technical documentation, inspection reports, and asset management strategies related to transformers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize transformer system performance and safety.
- Utilize specialized software tools for transformer asset analysis, system planning, and data management.
- Support system operational decisions and maintenance activities related to transformers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on transformer asset reliability and efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

- Proven experience as a Subject Matter Expert in power transformers or related electrical power systems.
- knowledge of “dissolve gas analysis”
- Reading test results of transformers
- Strong understanding of power system components and how transformers integrate within electrical networks.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., transformer modeling, asset management, Excel).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- In-depth knowledge of transformer design, operation, testing, and maintenance practices.
