Job Description

We’re looking for a hands-on Automation Engineer to join our Infrastructure Operations team. This junior-to-mid level role is ideal for someone who understands scripting and automation fundamentals and is ready to build and maintain Ansible playbooks using YAML. You’ll help automate provisioning, configuration, and data workflows across thousands of servers supporting our operational teams.

Develop Ansible playbooks using YAML to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration tasks across Windows and Linux environments
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and translate them into automation workflows
Support application deployment pipelines (Gooy frontend + Oracle DB) and contribute to infrastructure-as-code templates (Terraform)
Integrate automation solutions using REST APIs and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
Maintain organized documentation to support standards, procedures, and repeatable automation
Help manage inventory of data assets feeding into our data warehouse (Star schema) to support daily operations

Required Skills & Experience

Solid understanding of infrastructure automation concepts and scripting fundamentals
Experience developing and running Ansible playbooks using YAML
Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Perl
Exposure to CI/CD tooling (GitLab, Jenkins, Bitbucket, etc.)
Ability to troubleshoot issues and propose practical solutions or workarounds
Comfortable working across both Windows and Linux platforms
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
Exposure to data warehousing concepts, especially Star Schema or Data Vault models
SQL proficiency and Oracle PL/SQL development; Oracle APEX experience is a plus
ETL experience or working with disparate data sources
