Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Lead CNC Machinist to join our growing production team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with deep expertise in Siemens controls, multi-axis CNC machining (3-, 4-, and 5-axis), and proficiency with both lathes and mill-turn all-in-one systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and program CNC machines with Siemens controls, including multi-axis configurations.
• Perform setups and ensure precision in machining operations.
• Optimize processes for efficiency, quality, and throughput.
• Work with lathes and mill-turn systems to support diverse production needs.
• Mentor and guide a small team of machinists as we scale local production.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with Siemens CNC controls (programming and operation).
• Proficiency in multi-axis CNC machining (3-, 4-, and 5-axis).
• Ability to set up machines and ensure precision in machining operations.
• Solid understanding of both lathes and mill-turn all-in-one systems.
• Experience in process optimization for efficiency and quality.
• Leadership skills to mentor and guide a small team.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Prior experience in ramping up local production or high-volume environments.
• Familiarity with advanced tooling strategies and cutting technologies.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM software for programming.
• Background in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Experience working with tight tolerances and complex geometries.
