Java Developer

An employer is seeking a Java Developer for a large financial client sitting in Charlotte, NC. We’re looking for a skilled Java Developer with Angular expertise to join our team in reimagining the user interface of our core payments application. This is a pivotal role where you’ll collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to build a modern, intuitive, and secure UI that enhances the customer experience and supports our evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
• UI Redesign Implementation: Translate design mockups and user requirements into responsive, high-performance Angular components integrated with Java-based services.
• Full-Stack Collaboration: Work closely with backend developers to ensure seamless integration between the UI and core payment processing logic.
• Code Quality & Standards: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices in both Java and Angular.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve UI bottlenecks to ensure fast load times and smooth user interactions.
• Agile Development: Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives within a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Testing & Debugging: Collaborate with QA to ensure robust unit and integration testing and assist in debugging and resolving UI-related issues.

• 10+ years of professional experience in Java development
• Extensive hands-on experience with Angular
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and HTTP protocols
• Experience with UI/UX principles, especially in financial or transactional applications
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Solid grasp of security best practices in frontend development
