Job Description
We are seeking an API Developer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in backend development with a focus on building scalable APIs and microservices. This role is critical in developing robust backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot, with an emphasis on performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Write clean, scalable, and testable code following best practices
• Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases to build efficient and performant data layers
• Implement and maintain solutions using reactive programming paradigms
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development and production environments

Required Skills & Experience
• 6–9 years of professional software development experience
• Strong backend development expertise
• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Proficiency in working with both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases
• Solid experience in API development and building microservices
• Exposure to and practical experience with reactive programming (e.g., Project Reactor, RxJava, WebFlux)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
• Understanding of security best practices in API development
