An employer is seeking a GCP Platform Engineer for a large automotive client sitting fully remote. Responsibilities include:
Design, deploy, and manage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Pulumi, Cloud Deployment Manager, or Ansible.
Implement security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance frameworks.
Optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Documenting current environment (network topology in particular)
Documenting SOPs/Standards for the environment
Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in cloud environments.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud solutions into applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and service issues.
Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

GCP certification (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, DevOps Engineer).
Experience migrating legacy systems into GCP technologies.
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and cloud security frameworks.
Understanding of network security and zero-trust architecture.
