Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Field Service Technician IV to serve as a consultant and subject matter expert for all integrated equipment at a newly launched distribution center. This individual will collaborate with internal teams and provide direct support to the end-client, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of advanced automation systems.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supporting new client implementations and a strong commitment to the long-term success and growth of the team.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the technical lead for integrated systems including:
AutoStore robotics
Sorters
Singulators
TGW/FORTNA conveyors
MDR systems
Perform and oversee:
System assessments
Commissioning and installation
Preventive maintenance
Repairs and troubleshooting
Technical training for staff and end-users

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of hands-on experience with:
PLCs, electrical and mechanical systems, HMIs
Reading and interpreting mechanical/electrical schematics
OSHA 10 certification (required)
Proficiency in CMMS reporting and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong technical skills in diagnosing and repairing industrial control systems and mechanical equipment (e.g., engines, pneumatic tools, conveyors)
Strong customer-facing skills and ability to cultivate a positive, customer-centric culture
Ability to de-escalate challenging situations
Committed to the practice of Servant Leadership
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills for delivering both classroom and hands-on training
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including mentoring and coaching junior technicians
