Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a DevSecOps Lead for a top client to help strengthen and unify their secure development practices. This individual will bring a strong development background with deep security expertise to drive alignment across engineering, security, and infrastructure teams. The ideal candidate is both technical and collaborative—someone who can embed security into the development lifecycle, champion OWASP best practices, and serve as a key liaison in an environment with limited existing coordination. This role offers the opportunity to shape DevSecOps strategy, influence multiple teams, and make a measurable impact on application security and delivery. This a remote role with expectations to be on site 2-3 times a month. This is a contract to hire role through January 11th 2027.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5–8 years of experience in software development with a strong security focus
• Proven background in DevSecOps or application security leadership
• Hands-on experience with secure development practices
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and secure code hardening standards
• Experience bridging development, security, and IT infrastructure teams
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC)
• Ability to lead and influence across teams with minimal existing coordination
• Excellent communication and technical liaison skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Prior experience standing up or maturing a DevSecOps program
• Background in cloud security and modern CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with security tooling (SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets management)
• Experience working in regulated environments
• Previous technical leadership or people-lead experience
