Job Description
We are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity. This individual will be responsible for the administration, deployment, and ongoing support of Microsoft security technologies focused on identity management, access controls, data protection, and threat prevention. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing and managing multiple Microsoft security platforms and partnering across IT teams to strengthen the organization's overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer and support Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
• Deploy and manage Microsoft Purview solutions, including DLP, information protection, and compliance capabilities
• Configure and maintain Microsoft Defender security solutions across endpoints, identities, email, and cloud applications
• Support Microsoft Sentinel and security monitoring initiatives
• Administer Cisco CASB/SASE environments and related cloud security controls
• Design, implement, and maintain security policies and access controls based on Zero Trust principles
• Troubleshoot security platform issues and perform ongoing optimization and health checks
• Partner with infrastructure, networking, and application teams to ensure security best practices are implemented across the enterprise
• Participate in security assessments, audits, vulnerability remediation, and incident response activities

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Security Engineering, Identity & Access Management, or a related security-focused role
• Experience administering and deploying enterprise security platforms in a Microsoft environment
• Strong hands-on experience with several of the following technologies:
o Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
o Conditional Access
o Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
o Microsoft Purview
o Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
o Microsoft Defender for Identity
o Microsoft Defender for Office 365
o Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps
• Experience implementing identity, access management, and security governance controls
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust security principles and cloud security best practices
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with CASB and/or SASE technologies
• Experience with Cisco security solutions
• Microsoft security certifications such as SC-300, SC-400, or AZ-500
• Experience supporting or implementing Microsoft Sentinel
