Cloud Security Product Owner

Insight Global is looking for a Cloud Security Product Owner for one of our large financial clients. This role will own the vision and execution for integrating security controls as code across cloud platforms, working closely with DevOps, engineering, and IT operations to ensure secure and efficient deployments. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining and communicating product strategy, managing and prioritizing the backlog, ensuring compliance and governance across cloud environments, and advocating for cloud security capabilities to drive adoption. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in cybersecurity product management with a strong focus on cloud security, deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP, and expertise in security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and ISO. A strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, experience embedding security into CI/CD pipelines, and excellent communication skills are essential. This is an opportunity to lead critical initiatives that protect enterprise cloud infrastructure from emerging threats while shaping the future of secure cloud innovation. This role can be performed in either Charlotte, NC or Denver, CO and will be 5 days per week on-site.

Strong background/knowledge of Cloud Security controls as code - including CSPM and DSPM and other DevSecOps principals, across a cloud environment
Cloud product knowledge
Product Management/Product Owner experience
Experience building/maintaining product backlog - prioritization, risk mitigation, etc
Compliance governance experience - ability to ensure our client's cloud environment complies with internal and regulatory requirements
familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO, Gartner, etc) and their application in cloud environments
Strong communication

Preferred certifications include CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, and Azure Security Engineer Associate.
