Business Analyst

Insight Global is looking for a contractor to join one of their financial clients. In this role, you independently gather and analyze business requirements, collaborate with technical teams to define solutions, and create test plans to ensure accuracy. You write SQL scripts for data validation, support data platforms, and contribute to internal projects like system upgrades and tool development. You also stay current with industry trends, mentor team members, and manage multiple priorities effectively. The person in this role will support our AFS L3 to Vision and data modernization initiatives by providing subject matter expertise on the AFS data model to inform end of day reporting of AFS data to downstream consumers. This individual will be supporting their data squads by analyzing the following:

1) AFS to data warehouse file structures.
2) AFS L3 to AFS Vision data element mapping.
3) Queries used by AFS data consumer.
4) AFS data consumer consumption patterns.
5) Regulatory, financial, and compliance usage of AFS data to support critical bank reporting.

Must Haves:
5+ years experience with AFS in an operational, business analyst, or tech support capacity.
o Experience working with AFS Data Model
Knowledge of AFS data hierarchies including currents, futures, takedowns, obligations, and process types.
Experience with extract, transform, and load processes for sharing AFS data with downstream data consumers.
Experience with data mapping and data analysis
Experience with Snowflake or other data warehousing reporting, Power BI, and SQL
Experience with financial, regulatory, and compliance reporting requirements.
