Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a strong Automation Engineer to join an existing team with one of our clients within the financial industry. This resource will be expected to have a strong background of automation testing and building frameworks from scratch. Candidate must be strong and have proven hands on experience with Playwright, testing UIs and APIs. This role will require professional experience utilizing and working with AI agents and commands. Candidate must also be comfortable and have experience working with business owners and fuctional teams for requirement gathering. This is a hybrid position sitting in Charlotte, NC.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of Automation Engineering/QA Automation experience
• Strong experience with Playwright using TypeScript (preferred) or JavaScript
• Experience developing and building automation frameworks from scratch
• Strong understanding of automation testing fundamentals and best practices
• Experience testing both UI and APIs
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools
• Experience with CodeX CLI, Claude CLI, or similar command-line AI development tools
• Understanding of CLI-based development workflows and MCPs (Model Context Protocols)
• Strong knowledge of HTML, JSON, JavaScript, and web application architecture
• Experience working closely with business owners, stakeholders, and functional teams
• Ability to gather requirements and translate them into automated test specifications
• Experience executing and communicating regression testing results
• Strong understanding of defect tracking and pass/fail reporting
Experience with Java-based applications and environments
