Job Description

DAY TO DAY:
The Angular role is an individual contributor position responsible for architecting and shaping enterprise grade technology solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes for the Legal & Public Policy department.

This role operates at a senior level, using deep engineering and architecture expertise to define solution direction, establish technical patterns, and guide implementation teams through architectural leadership rather than delivery ownership. The Senior Engineer serves as a trusted technical partner to legal stakeholders, product leads, platform teams, and enterprise architecture, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned to long term technology strategy. The focus for this role will be on front end architecture although the candidate will be expected to support all application tiers.

Key Responsibilities
Provide architectural insights specifically around application UI design, UI libraries, and frameworks
Own and define end to end solution architecture for complex Legal & Public Policy initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, reference architectures, and control requirements.
Translate business objectives, legal workflows, and regulatory constraints into clear, durable architecture designs encompassing functional and non functional requirements.
Define and evolve technology stacks, architectural patterns, and integration approaches across user experience, services, data, and automation layers.
Produce high quality architecture artifacts including context, container, and component diagrams; sequence flows; architecture decision records (ADRs); and solution blueprints.
Lead and facilitate architecture and design reviews, providing constructive critique, surfacing trade offs, identifying risks, and recommending pragmatic solutions.
Provide implementation guidance to engineering teams, ensuring architectural intent is preserved while enabling team autonomy (no delivery or sprint ownership).
Conduct proofs of concept (POCs) and technical spikes to validate architectural approaches, emerging technologies, and fitness for purpose in a regulated environment.
Establish reference patterns, reusable architectural components, and standards that improve consistency, scalability, and time to value across Legal technology solutions.
