Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a talented Sr Android Engineer to design, build, deploy and maintain the next generation of mobile applications. The primary focus will be developing high-end mobile applications for various internal business customers.
The primary duties may include employing test-driven development (TDD), collaborating with the design team for new application features, identifying and fixing application bottlenecks, maintaining the core code, and updating applications published on the App Store.

Required Skills & Experience

- Degree in computer science or masters in software engineering.
- Typically requires 5-7 years of experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Android Development using Kotlin and/or Java.
- Must have experience writing automated tests using frameworks like Appium
Designing, building and maintaining next generation android mobile applications.
- Providing TDD leadership to ensure exceptional code quality.
- Ensuring enterprise-grade performance of the application to specifications.
- Identifying potential problems and resolving application bottlenecks.
- Maintaining the code and atomization of the application.
- Designing and implementing application updates.
- Ensuring quality and performance of the application to specifications.
- Proficient in code versioning tools including Git, Bitbucket.
- Familiarity with Biometrics, push notifications, usage of Camera APIs, etc.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with continuous integration & Unit tests.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong focus on troubleshooting and issue resolution.
