Job Description

Seeking an AI Designer to join our strategic group within the UX team who has experience designing for AI/ML-driven products or features, with knowledge of interaction patterns specific to conversational/generative UIs, or intelligent systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and optimize Generative AI experiences, focusing on intuitive interaction patterns and output quality.
Prototype and validate AI concepts with users to ensure clarity and usability.
Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to improve model engagement and user experience.
Translate user insights into actionable AI design strategies.
Lead the development of a Generative AI Design Framework, including standards and best practices.
Mentor UX peers in Generative AI design and advocate for its value across the organization.

Position Summary
As an Experience Designer with a focus on AI, you Should have experience designing for AI/ML-driven products or features, with knowledge of interaction patterns specific to conversational/generative UIs, or intelligent systems into intuitive and valuable products. Experience Designers need to be excellent analytical and conceptual thinkers that translate user needs, business objectives and technology capabilities into innovative design. This position requires a strong foundation in user centered design methods and the ability to communicate design decisions effectively to senior stakeholders and team members alike. This position is for a thoughtful designer with a passion for making complex data and workflow problems simpler.

This individual thrives in a highly collaborative and cross-disciplinary team environment. You will Help translate product strategy into interaction flows and final designs working with technology partners to plan and design new features and own the overall quality of what being delivered. You will apply color, composition, and content strategy to create meaningful experiences that consistently raise the bar and reset expectations for employee-facing experiences. You will be an advocate for users and an ambassador for our brand, creating designs that are familiar, intuitive, and accessible for all. You will use communication skills to ensure that design rationale is understood. You will introduce creativity while driving consistency, ensuring that styles express our brand but are optimized for context and the technical platform being utilized. You will work closely with technology and testing to ensure that development outputs adhere to the designs you put forth. You will work alongside user researchers to apply data-driven insights so that you deliver the right product to meet user needs. You will participate in design meetings and critiques and provide feedback to teammates. Core deliverables of yours include designing and optimizing Generative AI experiences, focusing on intuitive interaction patterns and output quality, prototyping and validating AI concepts with users to ensure clarity and usability, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to improve model engagement, translating user insights into actionable AI design strategies and leading the development of a Generative AI Design Framework, including standards and best practices in addition to mentoring mentor UX peers in Generative AI design and advocate for its value across the organization. You're a person who has 5+ years of design experience Exceptional interaction and visual design skills A strong portfolio that shows a commitment to user centered design Experience applying brand and digital standards, and as needed, contributing to asset libraries for cross-team use Experience designing responsive websites, applications, and other digital interfaces. Familiarity with open-source design systems (e.g., Material UI, Carbon, Fluent) and how they integrate with front-end development and understanding of prompt engineering, model behavior, and ethical AI design is a plus. Experience with Axure, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite and other design and management tools Experience working in an Agile environment, using tools like JIRA.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in a UX designer / strategist role.
Experience building AI interfaces.
Proven experience solving complex problems and designing world-class experiences for large-scale enterprise programs.
Extensive understanding of overall UX process and software development methodologies, including Agile.
A high degree of creativity, empathy, passion, and problem-solving ability.
Proficiency with tools like Mural, Axure, Sketch, InVision, and alike.
Vigor and passion about understanding the target audience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelors, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience, or a design-related field, or equivalent education and related training / certification.
Experience planning, facilitating and participating in design/strategy mapping workshops.
Financial or similar enterprise experience.
