Job Description

Responsible for analyzing, calculating, and recording payroll and general accounting financial data for all of the organization. Perform accurate and consistent accounting compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures and corporate policies and procedures. Provide management with timely and accurate information to support business decisions. This position interacts with the payroll processing, payroll tax, payroll systems, as well as other accounting departments. Excellent communication skills and thorough understanding of payroll related activity and accounts is required.

Required Skills & Experience

Prepares monthly journal entries for month end close and prepares assigned account reconciliations.
Analyze and determine corrections for any inappropriate activity.
Utilizes software applications to compile, retrieve, and summarize accounting information for analysis and reporting purposes.
Identifies and reports opportunities for improvement and standardization.
Prepares work papers in a clear and concise manner in accordance with management and auditor requirements.
Prepares ad hoc reporting requests, other analysis, and special projects as requested by management.
Performs duties in compliance with GAAP, company and department policies and procedures, internal controls, and SOX requirements.
Provides accurate and timely customer service when needed.
Review, comment, and provide feedback on assigned balance sheets prepared by other Senior or Staff Accountants

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Masters of Accountancy
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA Candidate Oracle HCM Fusion and/or Peoplesoft HRMS experience desired but can train the qualified candidate
